The Narayanapuram Eco Restoration project, commissioned under the AMRUT initiative in Madurai, focuses on the rejuvenation and ecological enhancement of a 120-acre natural habitat. The project aimed to restore the lake ecosystem, improve biodiversity, and create sustainable public interfaces. The master plan integrates waterbody desilting, wetland creation, and native vegetation plantation to support environmental resilience. Architectural and structural interventions include pedestrian pathways, viewing decks, and community spaces that promote eco-tourism and public engagement. MEP solutions address water management, lighting, and sustainable infrastructure needs. Completed in 2019, the project stands as a model for urban ecological restoration and community revitalization.
